First ever evangelical station in Sudan

First ever evangelical station in Sudan

You have just helped to open FEBC’s newest station, broadcasting Christian faith, hope, and love in Sudan!

The station’s location is discreet because Sudan is a vastly Muslim nation still embroiled in a brutal civil war, of 20 years. This is a truly historic moment – the first ever evangelical Christian radio station in Sudan.

FEBC African leadership flew to South Sudan with the help of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship), to a refugee camp with a short dirt runway. From there they bounced, bumped, and slid their way by 4-wheel drive, for 12 hours. They passed multiple checkpoints, soldiers with AK47s, to arrive at the new station – Living Hope Radio 105FM

Within 2 days the team had completed test broadcasts and begun training our 11 new broadcasting candidates. After 1 week of training staff and tuning the equipment, an opening ceremony dedicated the station to the LORD, with the help of local pastors and tribal chiefs.

Living Hope Radio is on-air for Sudan to hear. Please pray that hundreds of thousands tune-in (yes, it’s possible); and that new programmes speak powerfully about the true and living God, knowable only in Jesus Christ.

The new mast and studio just opened and on-air.
