Hunger for Jesus in Cambodia

Cassandra James and Owen Gabbie from FEBC New Zealand were in Cambodia for the first journey of the New Zealand sponsored mobile studio vehicle.

The team drove to several villages to the Kampong Speu province to visit listeners, interview Pastors, and give away radios. Literacy is as low as 70% in rural Cambodia so many people rely on radios and their leaders to guide them and provide wisdom.

Cassandra wrote “We have blessed so many with radios, prayed for pastors and people for healing. One government official travelled 18 miles on her scooter to see us.”

“The people are so hungry for God’s word. My overwhelming impression is how humble and faithful they are. They reminded me of the woman in the crowd who reached out to touch Jesus’ robe to be healed. Like her, these people have sincere faith while living with very limited means.”

Our dream is always to increase listenership, programme relevance, on-air variety, and closeness to our people across the nation.

Our dream is always to increase listenership, programme relevance, on-air variety, and closeness to our people across the nation. The mobile studio van is both an outreach and discipleship resource. The picture below is a local Pastor with his children inside the new Mobile Studio vehicle. They’re getting a special look before Dad is interviewed for the broadcast. You can see the cameras as well as microphones. These offer sharp images to create powerful social media posts to compliment the online and FM broadcasting.

Thank you for helping make this a reality.
