FEBC International and Feba South Africa are pleased to announce the building of a brand new station in Sudan. This development is well under way and will bring the good news of Jesus to potentially millions of people in the most unreached and war-torn country in Saharan Africa. Places like Darfur and Khartoum will be within listening range of our new FM station and we ask for your prayers and support as this important venture takes shape.
This Feba/FEBC radio station will broadcast to multitudes of Muslim people, immersed in a most dreadful civil war. Sudan, officially the Republic of the Sudan, borders the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, Libya to the northwest, Egypt to the north, the Red Sea to the east, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the southeast, and South Sudan to the south. Sudan has a population of approximately 50 million people.

A Rare Opportunity to Build Peace Through Media in a Conflict Zone
In a region long fractured by war and displacement, this initiative brings a platform for unity—using the universal medium of radio to foster peace, hope, and reconciliation in communities burdened by conflict.
Strategic Christian Presence in a Predominantly Muslim Nation
By broadcasting in Sudan, FEBC International can establish a wise and respectful presence, modelling Christ-like compassion in a land where Christianity has long been underrepresented and often misunderstood.
Broadcasting to the Margins: Serving Refugees and the Displaced
Millions in Sudan live in extreme poverty or are internally displaced. This station will offer not only spiritual nourishment and outreach, but practical, humanitarian content that brings comfort and dignity to people living in the margins.
When Jesus says, ‘My kingdom is not of this world,’ He invites people out of the tyranny of the immediate into the freedom of eternal hope.” – N.T. Wright
A Voice of Wisdom in a Vacuum of Infrastructure
In regions without reliable electricity, roads, or communication, radio remains one of the only accessible platforms. This makes radio uniquely positioned to speak into people’s lives with clarity, consistency, and care. A radio is still a relatively affordable device, and as is the case in many African towns and villages, people share and gather to listen in community. Please pray that, like Malawi and Mozambique, people in Sudan gather together and listen with open hearts and minds. *[NB. this group picture in Africa is of Muslim listeners in Malawi, as is the picture on the Rhema interview post below. This is to protect the identity of our people in Sudan.]

Engaging Hearts, Not Provoking Conflict
Rather than confronting Islamic beliefs, the programming will appeal across religious boundaries—sharing stories, health information, emotional support, and community development tools that resonate with every listener, from the devout to the doubtful.
A Gospel-Centred, Culturally Intelligent Broadcast Strategy
The content strategy will be shaped by deep cultural intelligence, integrating local languages, customs, and concerns—allowing the gospel message to emerge not as foreign intrusion but as a local source of hope, wisdom, and restoration.
Thank you friends for your interest and care for the nations. We will keep you informed of this exciting new development. Please pray for your coworkers in Sudan and South Africa (responsible for oversight). Obviously this is not a ministry for the faint-hearted, and we are still establishing the right staff in the right roles. Let us pray as FEBC & Feba Sudan wisely offer a vision of hope beyond politics and ideology.
